New Orleans, LA Times-Picayune, 6/22/18:
Only Louisiana offers money to restart Amtrak route on Gulf Coast

Sad that only one of three states (needed for a restored Gulf Coast Limited) was willing to pony up the money. And the idea of a restored Gulf Breeze (which was totally within Alabama) is moot. Maybe Louisiana could put their money into something intrastate, like the long-sought New Orleans-Baton Rouge train?
