I booked coach directly SPG to PHL 157, did not make a prior reservation. Would have been $135, less 10% NARP discount, and is now $59 (no NARP fare).

They finally released the buckets for January 21 NEC trips including 157. Previously all trains were high bucket and now 157 is the lowest bucket. Also a lot of NEC trains now have low bucket fares.
THANK YOU for the heads up! I just cancelled and rebooked and saved $40.50 WNL-NYP! ]
For what it's worth, booking as a 'senior' in BC would have cost me an extra $10!! I always check prices both ways for trips on the NEC.

For what it's worth, Saturday's Regional 281 that we didn't ride from New York City to Rochester still operated. It was delayed a total of 1 hour 6 minutes on this run, arriving Rochester at 6:05 PM.
And that's where we would still be to this moment, since no eastbound trains have come through Rochester since then. With the Sunday night departure from Chicago of 48/448 also cancelled, that means this train would not be coming by Rochester on Monday. Empire Service likely would have been our way out on Monday, as soon as 284 goes by (280 would not be running as it's a Sunday schedule on Monday).
We'll be watching performance of Monday's Regional 157 as it moves from Springfield to New York City (and onward to Norfolk). Thermometer temperatures at the time this train should depart SPG may be around zero, with wind chills much lower.
