One reason I was pleased with the agent was that there was no hassle and she was professional and polite. In Chicago I was scolded by a fat lazy ticket agent for having the unmitigated gall to ticket a reservation involving a companion coupon for Rosalyn. I don't know if the Chicago agent ever properly processed the companion coupon because she tossed the coupon aside after printing my tickets. Clearly this cow had no clue as to how to do her job.
It would have been nice to be switched with no charge. But I was hungry and in a hurry. I was glad to be switched with minimum hassle.

Used a red cap and preboarded. Worth the tip. A pleader greeting in acela fc. And an orange juice before departure. AC working well again. A great start to a great day.

The ride to nyp was non eventful and pleasant. Top speed was 149.7 according to my phone gps.
The service was pleasant. I enjoyed the French toast. We arrived nyp a few minutes late because of track work between new rochelle and hells gate bridge.
I walked all over lirr level looking for zarros before remembering it was one level up. Ate a pretzel and m&m cookie for lunch while reading a football magazine. Beats work.

Boarded at 2:55. It is HOT on the platforms. We boarded at 13e. Sleepers are at the front. I'm in room 5 on right side. AC is working.

AC cuts in and out. With heat advisories this has me a bit worried. This car rides rough. It feels like it bottomed out on switches between nyp and Newark.

Not sure PA is working either. I advised attendant. He was slow on the uptake. I walked into diner at 5:28 and was seated. Ate my salad as we rolled over Susquehanna river. Now we are running slow on inside track. An acela overtook us on outside track.

Still running slow. Nb traffic seems to be moving normally. No announcements made. Now we are speeding up after crossing another river.
