Amtrak restores early train from Albany to NYC
Starting on March 4, Amtrak is restoring its 5:10 a.m. train service from the Albany-Rensselaer station to New York Citys Penn Station marking what a leading transportation advocate says is the long-awaited restoration of pre-COVID service to the city.
In case you reach a pesky paywall that for me appeared at first and currently is not there, the new trip Monday through Fridays southbound will be 230, leaving very early in the morning from Albany as the new first trip of the day. The corresponding addition to the northbound schedule will be 245, which will leave New York City at 10:45 PM, becoming the last trip of the day.
This is the story.
