KTVI (FOX) St. Louis, MO, 11/24:

MetroLink service restored in Illinois; Expect delays as service resumes

EAST ST. LOUIS, IL (KTVI)- It has been a morning of delays for Metrolink riders who ride the trains through the metro east.

Around a five mile stretch of track has been completely shut down for hours after power lines fell onto the wires that run the trains.

Metro officials say if you are riding the entire system from Lambert Airport to the Shiloh-Scott Air Force Base stop, you could experience an hour delay. Other delays should be shorter, maybe 15 minutes to half an hour.

The tracks are completely shut down between the Fairview Heights station and the Emerson Park station in East St. Louis.

The problem happened about 4:30am  .  .  .
