Silverliner V Recovery Program

Schedules & Service

With a substantial number of Silverliner V cars now back in operation, Regular Weekday service resumes on ALL Regional Rail Lines on Monday, October 3, 2016.

All Lines will operate following the schedule published in the June 19th timetable with the exception of the Media/Elwyn Line, which will have a new schedule, with an October 2, 2016 effective date. This new schedule will reflect the return of rail service between Elwyn and Swarthmore Stations with the completion of the summer construction project. Additionally, the Cynwyd Line shuttle bus service will end and regular weekday train service will resume October 3rd.

Please note the following modifications to 4 trains, arriving or departing Center City, while we continue to operate with leased cars in the Regional Rail fleet:With more than 1/3 of the Silverliner V cars ready to return to operation, Regular Weekday service resumes on ALL Regional Rail Lines on Monday, October 3, 2016.

Schedules

Airport Line Paoli/Thorndale Line Chestnut Hill East Line Trenton Line Chestnut Hill West Line Manayunk/Norristown Line Cynwyd Line Media/Elwyn Line Fox Chase Line Warminster Line Glenside Combined West Trenton Line Lansdale/Doylestown Line Wilmington/Newark Line

The June 19th/October 2nd schedules will return each line to their regular schedule frequency and service patterns. Schedules will be posted on the SEPTA website and on the official SEPTA apps for iPhones and Androids. Customers are reminded to follow the instructions to download or update the new schedules on the apps.

In addition to the SEPTA cars, the leased fleet will continue in operation for the next several weeks. As more riders return to Regional Rail and until all Silverliner V cars return to service, customers may still encounter crowding and car shortages on trains. Based on the car recovery schedule, more Silverliner V's will be out in service every week, which will ease these conditions. During this transition, the Regional Rail Service Guarantee will continue to be suspended. The QuietRide Car program will return on Monday, October 10th.
