A Roanoke City fire is contained at the Commonwealth Coach and Trolley Museum on the corner of Campbell Avenue and 18th Street.

It took nearly 40 people to contain the fire.

This is primarily a bus museum.  There are, however, two Roanoke Railway & Electric trolleys in the collection.  The news report does not indicate if these steel bodied cars—no trucks or motors—have suffered any damage.  Sloan

Trolley Museum cleanup, investigation continues

ROANOKE, Va. - Officials with Roanoke’s Trolley Museum say workers are still cleaning up after last week’s fire that destroyed many historic busses.

Many of the damaged busses have been moved into scrap piles at what’s left of the Commonwealth Coach and Trolley Museum. Parts from some of the busses have been taken out and can still be used. Officials have moved the busses that are operational to the Transportation Museum.
