As I said earlier, lessons learned will be of benefit (or nuisance) to other cities who might vie for hosting the event. Philly does seem like a better idea as its stadiums are close to downtown and there is a history of bringing passengers to single-day events (as we discussed on the most recent Sunday chat with the Army/Navy games) by train. More on the issues from Sunday, and how SEPTA might be able to handle a similar event with its Broad Street Line. Philadelphia, PA Inquirer, 2/3/14:

Surviving the Super Bowl's transit logjam
Ron Katz has visited six of the last 13 Super Bowl host cities, traveling to the home stadiums for teams in Dallas, Detroit, Phoenix, Tampa Bay, San Diego and New Orleans - twice.
He was excited to add New York and East Rutherford, N.J., to the list, but came away fatigued and disheartened.
