Fairfield Metro station is being renamed to Fairfield-Black Rock Station
Fairfield's newest train station, Fairfield Metro, will be renamed the Fairfield-Black Rock Station, the state Department of Transportation said.
The DOT announced plans to rename the train station, which is the second Metro-North station in Fairfield, in the coming months.
IMO I would drop the name Fairfield entirely and just call it Black Rock. There still could be some confusion on maps, search engines, app-based transportation services, etc. by having two stations with Fairfield in the name.
