I changed the number of fatalities in the topic header from 3 to 2.  The third person reported dead by some media is now alive.   From WBMA-TV, ABC-33/40 in Birmingham, AL, 5/6/16:

Train crash victim still alive at UAB Hospital after being reported dead

ABC 33/40 reports new developments in a deadly collision involving a train and a truck. First responders first told ABC 33/40 all three victims in Tuesday's crash died. ABC 33/40 learned one of those victims is actually still alive.

Here is the update.
