----- NYCT 2nd Avenue Subway Phase 1 opens

Phase 1 of NYCT's Second Avenue Subway (from 63rd Street to 96th Street) will open January 1, 2017 officially at 12:00 Noon.   Preview rides on 12/31/16.   Q Line will be extended beyond 57th Street/7th Avenue to the new stations.
