Third and final day of our NYMARF trip is Monday, March 25.  Post reports here.

Monday saw us getting from hotels in Springfield to Union Station, either by Uber or on foot. One more person joined us, bringing our total to 7 for the Springfield to New Haven segment on Shuttle #471. Train is very crowded and that was before coming into Hartford. Next update around New Haven.

#471 got to New Haven on time, and we had a 15-20 minute layover on the platform before #171 arrived. During that time was the only period in which all 8 participants were there at once. One joined and one left.

#171 is taking us to New York as the final official conveyance of this Fest. Two will remain onboard to Philadelphia, one to Newark Airport, while the rest will detrain and begin their own trips home.

Our "Winter" event in the Spring is finally over. We arrived in New York on time at 12:20 PM. Our two Amtrak trains today behaved much better than our previous two.

This weekend for me was a good means of getting away from life's challenges for a few days. It was great as always to share travels with friends who enjoy the same.

Thank you Kevin for planning another enjoyable fest.  I am waiting in the Club Acela for the Silver Meteor home.  I enjoyed all the rides and seeing old friends and meeting new.

It was great to meet the faces behind the names today.  Great trip!  Hopefully, I'll be able to ride more of the next railfest than just one day like today.  See y'all then!
