AMTRAK has published a temporary timetable (not found in the national timetable document) that shows the two-month suspension of the SILVER METEOR, the running of the SUPER STAR on its different schedule, and the suspension of many Thruway bus connections that had been run to connect with the SILVER METEOR and the SILVER STAR on its normal schedule.

In some cases, Thruway buses operate in only one direction for the duration of this special timetable, which is obviously inconvenient to travelers who might leave their car someplace to take a bus both ways to and from the train.

The timetable is valid from April 23 until June 22. Intrestingly, the following timetable goes into effect on June 17th, which is 5 days before this mess is supposed to be over. There should be plenty of confusion during that 5-day period when two different timetables are in effect.

The special timetable (also available in print at train stations on the east coast) is here. Adobe Reader is required to view it.
