It's a RAIL treat! China's new circular high-speed track passes through rolling farms, sandy beaches and scenic rivers on a tropical island

Trial runs have begun on China's incredible 215 mile West Loop high-speed railway line that circles the whole of south China's Hainan Island.

It's billed by the Chinese media as the first loop high-speed railway in the world and stretches across the beautiful landscapes of 12 different cities at over 125 miles per hour. Stunning pictures of the track, which took nearly three years to build, have emerged on The People's Daily Online.

Construction of the new line is now complete and engineers will test up to 20 empty trains per day until the trial period is over and the track is deemed safe.
