A rail car in an industrial area in the Lower Valley caught fire late Friday, officials said.
The El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) received calls reporting heavy flames and smoke in the 9300 block of Billy the Kid Street. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 11:03 p.m. and discovered nearly 10-foot flames coming from a rail car, said EPFD spokesman Carlos Briano.
