Metra BNSF trains moving again after Brookfield hazmat situation

 

Brookfield officials say a passerby called them after spotting plastic bags containing an unknown liquid directly on the train tracks around 9:15 a.m. Hazmat crews from various communities were called in and are still trying to determine what the material is.

Hazmat Incident Shuts Down Metra BNSF Line During Rush Hour

 

Commuters from the western suburbs are going to have a tough evening. A hazmat incident has suspended service on Metra's BNSF line which will impact commuters during the Monday rush hour and Cubs fans on their way to Wrigley Field.
