On Metro-North:

Additional Dec. 20 PM-Peak Service to the Bronx on Harlem & Hudson Lines

To serve the additional customers who used Metro-North during the AM Peak, there will be some extra service to Bronx stations on the Hudson and Harlem Lines tonight during the PM Peak. Customer service representatives and police will be on hand to provide assistance. Expect long lines, crowding, and some delays. We urge customers to buy their tickets in advance.

Hudson Line

The regular schedule is in effect.

The following trains departing Grand Central will make all Bronx stops: 3:50 PM, 5:19 PM, and 7:58 PM, including Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil, Marble Hill, University Heights, and Morris Heights.

Harlem Line

The regular schedule is in effect.

Between 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the following service will be added. These two efforts combined will result in service to East Bronx stations every 15 to 20 minutes.

--Extra cars will be added to the regularly scheduled Bronx local trains.

--Five extra trains will operate between Grand Central and the East Bronx stations of Wakefield, Woodlawn, Williams Bridge, Botanical Garden, and Fordham, Tremont and Melrose from 3:45 PM-7:15 PM.

Note: All Harlem Line customers traveling to the East Bronx during the peak period should proceed to the east side of the Lower Level (Tracks 103-106). Once there, they will be directed by customer service representatives and police. Customers should also listen for announcements.

From 8 PM-1:52 AM, all local Harlem Line trains will make all Bronx stops.

New Haven Line

The regular service is in effect.

Metro-North' NYC Transit Strike Contingency Plan will go into effect tomorrow, December 21. For more information, please visit our website by clicking on the link below, or call our Customer Service Center at 212-532-4900, or 800-METRO-INFO (outside of NYC).
