I-40 shut down due to train derailment near NM-AZ line
Interstate 40 is shut down near the New Mexico-Arizona state line due to a train derailment around 13 miles west of Gallup.

FRA safety personnel have been on the scene of a BNSF derailment near the Arizona-New Mexico border since the evening of April 26. Collaboration on the ground continues, with FRA Administrator Amit Bose joining personnel on-site today as FRA leads an investigation into the cause.
