Metrolink news release:

Metrolink to offer special “Rail Series” service for Angels versus Dodgers games June 26 and 27

Wednesday June 21, 2017

LOS ANGELES –  Metrolink is offering special round-trip tickets on its Orange County Line to and from Los Angeles Union Station next Monday and Tuesday as the Dodgers take on the Angels at Dodger Stadium. From Union Station, fans can hop on the Dodger Stadium Express to get to and from the game.

The cost of the round-trip train ticket is $7 for adults, $6 for senior/disabled/Medicare and $4 for youth. Kids under five years of age ride free. Train tickets are available on the day of the game through Metrolink’s mobile app and from train station ticket machines. The Dodger Stadium Express between Union Station and Dodger Stadium is also free, with a game ticket in hand.

Passengers may take any Orange County Line train to Union Station. Suggested options are trains 609 and 689 to Union Station, which arrive at 5:26 p.m. and 6:27 p.m. Both trains will allow passengers time to get to Dodger Stadium via the Dodger Stadium Express.

The Dodger Stadium Express shuttle departs near the taxi zone on the west side of Union Station, near Alameda Street. The shuttle leaves Union Station every 10 minutes starting 90 minutes before game time. Return shuttle service runs for approximately 45 minutes after the final out.

Metrolink will operate one special train from L.A. Union Station making all stops to Oceanside after the games. The train will depart one hour after the end of each game. If the games go into extra innings, the train departure time will be 11:30 p.m.

Metrolink is partnering with Metro to provide the special baseball train service through Clean Transportation Funding from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC). The same grant also funds the Dodger Stadium Express service to all Dodger home games.

ABOUT THE MRC (www.cleantransportationfunding.org)

The Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) was formed in 1990 when Assembly Bill AB 2766 was signed into law authorizing a $4 motor vehicle registration fee. Thirty percent of the $4 fee or approximately $14 million annually is used for programs administered by the MSRC. All of the programs eligible for funding must reduce air pollution from mobile sources.

Membership of the MSRC is made up of representatives from the transportation agencies of Riverside, Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Orange County, as well as the Southern California Association of Governments, Southern California Rideshare, California Air Resources Board and the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
