Man on tracks is struck by Metro train at Foggy Bottom in Northwest D.C.
A Metro train struck a man Thursday night after he apparently jumped onto the tracks at the Foggy Bottom station, transit authorities said.
The incident happened at the station just before 6:30 p.m., and it was not immediately clear how or why the man was on the tracks, said Richard Jordan, a Metro spokesman. The man was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not immediately known.
