City hires transportation center builder

ALTON — The planned, $25 million Alton Regional Multi-Modal Transportation Center project moved further along this week with the city awarding a contract for its construction.

“I’m just very excited to see the project move forward and see the actual infrastructure at the site being constructed,” said Mayor Brant Walker. “This is a big step for our city and our region.”
