The guy shoveling horse waste into a cart is an indication of what life was like walking the streets of Boston at the turn of the 20th century. BTW, this movie is not so rare as text indicates. Portions of it appeared in Transit Gloria Mundi's video: Trolley, The Cars that Built Our Cities.
