Woke up early to shower and be ready for breakfast. Showering on jointed rail us an adventure only a rail fan could enjoy. I don't know what it us about shoes. They always migrate way underneath the bed at night. Thus dining car crew is the best of the lot. Very friendly. Efficient and customer service oriented without the am-regimentation of most dining car crews.

Is the LSA an older guy? If so, I think I might have had this crew on 91 earlier this month.

Still running on time I see....

30 is running about 30 mins late, but is expected to arrive into WAS on time or early.... we'll see about that. :)

I saw 19 zip through Metropark yesterday afternoon and was thinking I'll be on it tomorrow :)

See you later today. 4 hours to go for departure from home for me.

Looking forward to seeing you. The lsa is a white lady. She really does not have it together upon further review. She did not have pens not checks ready when I sat down for breakfast. She was distracted for most of the meal. I saw her standing in the back eating rather then waiting on passengers. She rarely communicates with her colleague, Rosie, who is quietly proficient in doing her job. At one point the lsa tells other passengers that she is working by herself. Rosie has been quietly doing her job and attending to passengers. IMHO, the only reason passengers are getting meals is because of rosie's efforts. I slipped her a 10 on the way out. I really don't like for people to be treated the way Rosie is being treated. The chef has turned out excellent meals in spite I'd the lsa's incompetence. We are about 15 minutes late leaving Raleigh right now have yet to depart.

Departing rocky mount 15 minutes Late. Iirc the segment from rocky mount to Petersburg is a hit spot on CSX where delays occur. I have the scanner lined up and a chatty crew. This will be fun.

Does this imply that you passed three defect detectors with southern accent and noticed each time that the crew also had a southern accent? :P

Only the one. Sorry about triple post. I tried to post when I was losing a cell signal. They took lunch reservations. I appreciated that touch. Better than the empire builder from last year.
