Witnesses 'shocked,' 'distraught' at RiverLine crash
Grace Scheffler said workers and patrons inside her Orange Blossom restaurant heard the crash of a NJ Transit RiverLine train as it struck a beige Mercedes-Benz SUV Thursday morning, dragging it several yards along the tracks in Riverton.
"We heard a loud bang, and we looked and saw the train hit the car," she said. "Everybody was screaming."
