QLINE To Operate Free To Limit Contact Points During Covid-19

The QLINE will operate free beginning March 18 for passengers to help limit the spread of Covid-19. The decision to suspend fare payments was made to limit contact points including the cash machine onboard the streetcar and the credit card machines at the station. The policy is in effect indefinitely.

M-1 RAIL implemented a variety of Covid-19 safety measures beginning March 4, 2020.

Detroit, MI News, 8/11/21:

QLine to reopen in late September, run for free until 2022

Passengers will once again be able to board the QLine beginning the week of Sept. 27 for the first time since services ground to a halt when the COVID pandemic hit, line operator M-1 Rail announced on Wednesday.

Story is here.    So technically they missed the "Late Summer" goal by about 5 days, since September 27th is in the Fall season.
