This started in October but is just starting to get media attention now. From Macomb, MI Daily, 12/8/17:
Bus service provides transportation to Amtrak train stations
Those who wish to travel from Macomb and St. Clair counties to places such as Chicago, Lansing or Battle Creek at an affordable rate can take advantage of a new bus-train linking service.
This I believe is very good news for railfans who still have the Blue Water on their bucket list of trains to ride. What has kept it elusive to many is the late night eastbound arrival into Port Huron and the early morning westbound departure. With this connection, you can take the Wolverine eastbound from Chicago to Detroit, then the bus, and get to Port Huron by dinnertime. More time to sleep before the early morning departure of the westbound Blue Water.
