CN Service Advisory - 10/29:

HURRICANE SANDY

- As a result of Hurricane Sandy and its ensuing impact on both of their lines, the CSX and NS railroads have imposed an immediate embargo on all their CN interchange traffic, whether destined for or originating from the Northeastern United States. Consequently, your shipments destined for the affected areas will likely be subject to delays until the embargoes are lifted.

- CN’s operations have not been impacted at this time, however CN has deployed resources and personnel as part our contingency plan and will be ready to respond as required.

We will post further information on this web page as it becomes available.

Please do not hesitate to contact your Customer Support Representative or to use your regular channels to obtain more detailed information on specific shipments.

CN Service Update - 10/31

HURRICANE SANDY

- As a result of Hurricane Sandy and its ensuing impact on both of their lines, the CSX and NS railroads imposed a series of embargoes on some of their CN interchange traffic, whether destined for or originating from the Northeastern United States.

- As the storm continues to abate and recovery efforts are underway, the embargoes are gradually being modified; at this time, a small portion of traffic remains affected. The possibility still exists that your shipments scheduled to move through storm-impacted areas may be delayed until all embargoes are lifted.

- CN’s operations have not been impacted, however our resources remain available and will respond if required.

We will post further information on this web page as it becomes available.

Please do not hesitate to contact your Customer Support Representative or to use your regular channels to obtain more detailed information on specific shipments.
