LIRR Storm Update:
LIRR service is extremely limited with delays up to 2 hours Systemwide.
Due to blizzard conditions, the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management urges those who don't have to travel to stay home.
Customers may see some trains operating non-stop thru stations to assist in clearing tracks and switches of snow.
Please refer to news broadcasts & LIRR's Customer Email Advisory System for up-to-the-minute info. The LIRR is currently running limited service System-Wide.
Ronkonkoma Branch Branch Customers:
Ronkonkoma train service westbound is temporarily suspended.

Storm Strands 150 on LIRR Train for 5 Hours
NEW YORK (AP) -- About 150 people were stranded on a Long Island Rail Road train for more than five hours by a combination of snow drifts, icing, traffic problems and equipment failures due to the weather.
