Alstom to Supply Metropolis Trains for Santo Domingo Metro Extension
The Transport Reordering Office (OPRET) has contracted Alstom to supply new trains for the extension of Line 2 on the Santo Domingo Metro in the Dominican Republic.
Under this order, Alstom will manufacture, supply and put into service eight new Metropolis 3-car trains to operate on Line 2C of the Santo Domingo Metro.
Line 2C will stretch 7.3 kilometres, with 900 meters underground and 6.45 kilometres elevated. . . .
