Hello John..., I wish I had known earlier you planned to go to DC.I will see the Phila. exhibit from 10-11:30 AM, then take train #143 to WAS, see that exhibit from 1:30-closing, then return on train #192.
My original plan was to check out the train exhibits in Philly, amtrak
it to DC and check out DCs train exhibits and ride the red and orange
metro lines..., but instead I decided to travel in the opposite direction
and take amtrak #160 at 7:20am to New York Penn, then the 9:40am
Long Island Rail line out to Montauk, then the 3:35pm from Montauk
back to New York Penn then amtrak #165 at 7:55 to arrive back in
Philly at 9:22pm. I hope we both have a good time on our train rides
on National Train Day.
