Based on the results of the two polls, which were both overwhelmingly in favor of making changes, the still tentative itinerary for the Big Apple RailFest 2005 event has been officially changed.

Saturday morning is unchanged. The plans for the day now ignore the L train entirely, and lunch has been moved from Jamaica to Manhattan. Instead, we do our runs on the J & M trains earlier, ride over the Manhattan Bridge, and then take the F train up to Herald Square. After lunch, we will ride the Broadway Line one stop to Times Square, take a 2 or 3 express train to 96th Street, then the 1 all the way up to the end of the line at Van Cortlandt Park/242nd Street in the Bronx. Then we return to 225th Street and walk downstairs to the Marble Hill station of Metro North's Hudson Line, which we ride into Grand Central Terminal ending that day's activities.

Sunday, AirTrain Newark has been removed from the itinerary. We will now meet for the day before 9 AM in Hoboken Terminal, and ride the newest section of HBLRT to Weehawken. When we return to Hoboken Terminal, we will take an express train from there to Bay Head on the North Jersey Coast Line, via the Waterfront Connection. This will give us more time for lunch in Point Pleasant Beach. The portion of the day's activities after lunch remain unchanged.
