Ive railfest is rapidly approaching!! Thought it might be a good idea to start a dinner thread for Utica. I will start the ball rolling by providing links to yelp reviews for restaurants near the doubletree hotel.

As customary with me, I'll list places by their website or menu, as location and content are important.  However some places will eliminate themselves when we look at the prices.

 

First, since some often choose not to venture from the hotel, the restaurant within the Hotel Utica (Doubletree) is Chophouse by Chesterfield. Here is the menu. (Expensive)

 

Swifty's Restaurant & Pub (Looks to be reasonably priced with many comfort choices including steak, pasta, pizza, chicken, wraps.)

 

Menu for Ocean Blue Restaurant & Oyster Bar … Mostly seafood and pricey.

 

Babe's:   Seems reasonably priced with diverse menu.  North of Amtrak station.

 

A few pizza places, with not only pizza but pasta and chicken as well:

In the opposite direction (north) from the Amtrak station is a Delmonico's Steakhouse, which obviously would be out of budget; menu does not list prices.
