Updates that were made on 12/25/17:

 

• Toronto section updated now that Vaughan extension of Line 1 is in service 12/17/17.
• Los Angeles section updated to reflect 1 mile extension of Metrolink San Bernardino Line as of 12/18/17, and the future Redlands Arrow it will connect to there by 2021.

New York City section was updated 1/23/18. Wording changed indicating that we have now ridden the Second Avenue Subway.

Charlotte section was updated 3/16/18 to reflect opening of LYNX Blue Line Extension on that date.

Updates made on May 8, 2018 to the following sections:  Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Phoenix, Austin, San Antonio.

 5/13/18:

 

Updated Los Angeles section to show that Angels Flight funicular reopened last summer.   Updated Houston, Austin, and New Orleans sections reflecting our planned visit this coming summer.

7/29/18:  Sections for New Orleans, Houston, and Austin were edited with mention that we rode all of these cities' systems in their entirety during the LTRF 2018 event.

 

Edit was made to Phoenix section to include Tempe Streetcar, now scheduled to go into service in 2020 or 2021.  New sections created for El Paso and Milwaukee, which are getting new streetcar lines by the end of 2018.   Salt Lake City section was also changed given the elimination of the Ogden-Pleasant View segment of FrontRunner -- meaning that we did indeed ace the remaining existing FrontRunner when we visited in 2014.

I made quite a few updates to this feature on 9/28/19.  

• Added Waterloo Region in Canada thanks to the new ION light rail.  
• Added Oklahoma City because since 12/14/18 it has a streetcar line.
• Updated Phoenix to include new extension to Gilbert Road in Mesa.
• Updated Milwaukee with HOP Streetcar having started.
• Updated Denver to reflect new commuter lines and light rail extensions that went into service, and the fact all were ridden in September of 2019.
• Updated Nashville to denote that a full trip on Music City Star is no longer possible due to elimination of Friday night extra train.
• Updated Boston indicating that all 5 Downeaster trains now run as far as Brunswick, ME so a potential Fest ride on this train likely will happen soon.
• Updated St. Louis to include Delmar Loop Trolley having opened in November 2018.
• Updated Toronto to show that we visited in July 2019.
• Updated the Dallas/Fort Worth/Denton section for TexRail having gone into service in January 2019, and for DART having its new Silver Line under construction between DFW Airport and Plano.

Entire document was updated 7/31/21, to reflect current dates and conditions.  Many under construction systems were delayed by the Pandemic and/or other factors.

On November 25, 2021, some of the above entries were updated, including recent openings in Charlotte, Seattle, and San Diego.

Updated December 16, 2021 to include the AirTrain SFO at San Francisco International Airport, which recently had a segment added to one of its lines.
