Nelson Chenga of the Zimbabwe Financial Gazette took a ride on one of the commuter “Freedom Trains” operated by the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ). He describes the coach exteriors – “discoloured by rust after decades of dedicated service” – as looking like something “straight from a metal scrap yard”, which should have been retired long ago.
