I am beginning to wonder if the Montreal, Maine, and Atlantic is a railway that should have been operating such a hazardous train. Isn't this railroad mostly dark territory? That combined with one-man trains serms a bad mix. I know the Indiana Railroad operates one man trains, but they seem to do it safely. Plus, wasn't Burkhardt formerly in charge of Wisconsin Central? Oil trains are a growing traffic line for railroads, and this is going to be used by pipeline opponents, for sure. Even though most tank cars are relatively new, and the tougher AAR standards were only put into effect in 2011.
