Our trip on the southbound Texas Eagle was very nice. Our attendant Ricky seemed quite efficient, and the crews we encountered in the diner for breakfast were attentive to our needs. Nine of us left St. Louis, about 11 minutes late. The trip was smooth, with only a few slow points and minor stops for meets with freight trains. The only rough track was in southern Missouri between St. Louis and Arcadia Valley. In the morning breakfast came just past Texarkana, AR/TX. Jay left us in Marshall, leaving eight to continue onward to Dallas. We got there 13 minutes early at 11:17 AM.
