A 22-year-old Mukwonago man is criminally charged -- accused of pushing his girlfriend down onto railroad tracks -- where she struck her head and was then run over by a train. The woman survived -- but was seriously injured.

Mukwonago woman survives being hit by a train

 

Mukwonago - The Bilicki family had a lot to be thankful for on Thanksgiving. The family spent part of the holiday at the hospital visiting their daughter and eating turkey. Kelsey Bilicki, 23, of Mukwonago survived being hit by a train on Nov. 14, resulting in her arm being amputated.

 

According to her sister Haley Bilicki, 24, doctors have been surprised with how much progress she has made in a short period of time.

 

On Friday she was starting her physical therapy, although she needs time to let her bones heal before she tries to walk.  "Doctors hope to get her in a wheelchair and start to gain strength in her right. She also needs to learn things without her left arm," Haley Bilicki said.

Mukwonago man accused of pushing girlfriend onto train has bail modified

 

 

TOWN OF MUKWONAGO - A 22-year-old man who allegedly pushed his girlfriend in front of a train had his bail modified during court proceedings on Feb. 15. The change went from no contact to no violent contact with the victim.

 

Brandon Calkins of Mukwonago was charged with causing bodily harm to Kelsey Bilicki, resulting in her arm being amputated during an incident in November. In addition, he was also charged with resisting an officer, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct. Calkins is currently out on bail.

Here in my neck of the woods, an outraged boyfriend rammed his car into the backend of his ex-girlfriend's car at a grade crossing.  An on-coming Norfolk Southern train plowed into the car.  Story here:

Mukwonago pleads no contest after girlfriend was hurt in train accident

 

 

TOWN OF MUKWONAGO — A 22-year-old man pleaded no contest to one count of disorderly conduct and one count of resisting an officer in a case involving a woman who was hit by a train after an argument. The charge of battery was dismissed June 1 as part of a negotiated plea bargain.  

 

According to court documents, Brandon Calkins of Mukwonago was sentenced to 90 days in jail with nonworking hours with standard release conditions. 

 

He was given two years of probation, on the condition that he maintains absolute sobriety. Calkins must also attend domestic violence counseling and perform 80 hours of community service.
