Hurricane Matthew - JTA Operations
The safety of our customers and staff is our number one priority. We are making preparations and closely monitoring Hurricane Matthew.
JTA Administrative offices will be closed Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October 7.
The St. Johns River Ferry, fixed route bus service, Connexion and Skyway are operating on a normal schedule today, Wednesday. October 5. Based on what we know today, JTA buses will operate on a normal schedule on Thursday, October 6 and a Sunday schedule Friday, October 7. However, as these storms are unpredictable, the service provided may change. Connexion, JTA’s paratransit service, will be available Thursday and Friday for life sustaining trips ONLY. JTA “Evacuation buses” will be available at 10 AM Thursday at one of the four pick up locations to transport customers to designated shelters:

- The St. Johns River Ferry will be closed Thursday, October 6 and Friday, October. We will evaluate the conditions and storm path to determine when it is safe for the ferry to resume operations.
- Skyway service will be suspended on Friday, October 7
- The Riverside Avondale Night Trolley will not operate on Friday, October 7
- JTAMobilityWorks construction project sites are being secured for the storm (see attached document from Carter)
JTA Customer Service will open at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, October 6 and remain open throughout the night and on Friday to assist customers.
