“Railroad in Historical Landscapes” will be the subject of a showcase of artistic photography produced by Michael Froio of Williamstown, NJ shown to Harrisburg Chapter National Railway Historical Society on March 10 at Hoss’s Restaurant, 743 Wertzville Rd., Enola, PA. Business meeting and speaker will begin at 7:00 PM with a meal available as early as 5 pm. Dinner and meeting are open to the public.
Froio is a professional photographer whose recent commission includes work for Conrail Shared Assets. He is also developing documentation of the evolution of the Pennsylvania Railroad in Lancaster, PA.
Froio’s photography appears in both black and white and color.
Harrisburg Chapter, one of over 149 chapters of the National Railway Historical Society, is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to studying railroad history and preserving significant local railroad artifacts. Major projects include: maintaining Pennsylvania’s official electric locomotive (GG-1 # 4859), and preserving and operating Harris Tower, and showcasing operating model train layouts to community groups.
