The Record, Stockton, CA, 11/29:
QUOTE Free Web access on ACE extended Full article here.Altamont Commuter Express passengers will likely be able to hook up to the Internet for free for a few more months. ACE officials say they hope to work out a way to extend a free pilot program that allows passengers to connect to a wireless Internet service while aboard the Stockton to San Jose commuter train. ACE was the first transit system in the nation to offer wireless Internet service when it began the program in September. The free, three-month trial period was scheduled to expire in mid-December. However, ACE is working on a plan to extend the program another three months. Officials hope it will be enough time to work out kinks in the system, said ACE's Chris Juelch, who is coordinating the new service. |
