Regular weekend service on all Metrorail lines - July 3-5

 

Reconstruction of the Metrorail system has been placed on hold this weekend, July 3-5, and regular service will operate on all lines for the busy Independence Day weekend. Silver Line passengers please note, on July 4,  Silver Line trains will operate between Wiehle-Reston East and Stadium-Armory only. (see below)

Regular weekend service: Trains operate between Wiehle and Stadium July 4 

On Saturday, July 4, Silver Line trains will operate regular weekend intervals between Wiehle-Reston East and Stadium-Armory only. Passengers traveling to/from stations east of Stadium-Armory will need to use Blue Line trains to complete their trip.

Travel Tips

  • Metrobus service may provide an alternate travel option for some riders. To check, plan your trip using Trip Planner and select the "bus only" option.
  • Before traveling, consult the trip planner at wmata.com to check the special schedule and reduce your wait time. Trip Planner is updated to reflect weekend rebuilding schedules on Fridays; please check on Friday afternoon or later.
