Editorial: Clear up 'bomb train' bewilderment with better communication
Politicians, bureaucrats and activists must stop talking past each other to ensure that the public has the facts about safety precautions surrounding so-called “bomb trains” that roll through their towns.
That is pretty much what the average citizen cares about, really. The rest is just political noise rattling in the wind. Is it safe? It depends on who you believe.

The problem here is that all parties are talking past one another, leaving the public in a state of uncertainty. The public wants to know it’s safe. If it is, the DOT needs to do a better of job documenting it.
