Amtrak website:

Traveling with a Samsung Galaxy Note 7

The safety of our passengers and employees is Amtrak's number one priority. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phone has been reported to experience battery failures. To date,

Amtrak has not received any reports of incidents associated with cellular devices onboard trains. Both Samsung and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued advisories urging owners to power down these devices and stop charging or using them. Following these advisories, Amtrak would like to caution passengers to follow the manufacturer's instructions and to request that passengers power off affected devices onboard trains or in stations and facilities.
