Severe Winter Weather Causes Service Changes

  For the safety of our customers and employees, severe winter weather has prompted Amtrak to implement several service changes and cancelations between Tues., Dec. 27 – Wed. Dec. 28.
 

Amtrak Midwest Services:

 

• Train 300 (Lincoln Service): Canceled Dec. 28*
• Train 305 (Lincoln Service): Canceled Dec. 27
• Train 318 (Lincoln Service/Missouri River Runner): Canceled Dec. 27*
• Train 351 (Wolverine): Canceled Dec. 28*
• Train 352 & 354 (Wolverine): Canceled Dec. 27*
• Train 353 (Wolverine): Canceled Dec. 27 & 28 *
• Train 382 (Illinois Zephyr): Canceled Dec. 27 *
• Train 364 (Blue Water) Canceled Dec. 27**
• Train 365 (Blue Water) Canceled Dec. 27
• Train 365 (Blue Water) Canceled Dec. 28**
• Train 383 (Illinois Service) Canceled Dec. 27**
• Train 382 (Illinois Service) Canceled Dec. 28**

• Train 280 (Empire Service) Canceled only between Niagara Falls and Albany on Dec. 27 & 28
• Train 281 & 283 (Empire Service) Canceled only between Syracuse and Niagara Falls on Dec. 27 & 28
• Train 284 (Empire Service) Canceled only between Niagara Falls and Syracuse on Dec. 27 & 28

 

Other Amtrak services canceled or modified; no substitute transportation is available on these routes:

 

• Trains 7/27 (Empire Builder) Canceled Dec. 27
• Trains 8/28 (Empire Builder) Canceled only between Seattle/Portland and Minneapolis St. Paul on Dec. 27
• Trains 49/449, 48/448 (Lake Shore Limited) Canceled Dec. 27

 

Customers with reservations on trains that are being modified will typically be accommodated on trains with similar departure times or another day. Amtrak will waive additional charges for customers looking to change their reservation during the modified schedule by calling our reservation center at 1-800-USA-RAIL.
