UP Trackwork affects Cascades and Coast Starlight 11/16-21, 2017

Amtrak Cascades Service and Coast Starlight Trains 11 and 14: Track Work in Oregon Affects Service

 

Effective November 16 - 21, 2017

 

Track work being performed by Union Pacific Railroad between Portland and Eugene will affect Amtrak Cascades Trains 503, 505, 506, 507 and 508 and Coast Starlight Trains 11 and 14, on the dates shown below:

 

Coast Starlight Trains 11 and 14  

 

November 18 through November 21: Coast Starlight Trains 11 and 14

  • Train 14 will operate normally between Los Angeles and Eugene. All customers will get off the train at Eugene, where bus service will be provided between Albany, Salem and Portland. At Portland, customers can board Train 14, making all remaining stop s on the route.
  • Train 11 will operate normally from Seattle to Portland. All customers will get off the train at Portland, where bus service will be provided between Salem, Albany and Eugene. At Eugene, customers can board Train 11, making all remaining stops on the route.
November 16 and 17: Coast Starlight Train 14

 

Northbound Train 14 will wait at Klamath Falls up to two hours.

  • On November 16, customers making connections from Train 14 to Train 28 at Portland will get off the train at Klamath Falls, where bus service will be provided to Pasco, Wash. At Pasco, you can board Train 28.
  • On November 17, a connection will not be available from Train 14 to Train 28.

Amtrak Cascades Service  

 

November 16 and 17: Train 503

Train 503, which normally operates between Portland and Eugene, will be cancelled. Bus service will be provided at all stations on the route.

 

November 16 and 17: Train 508

  • Train 508, which normally operates between Eugene and Seattle, will operate between Portland and Seattle only. Bus service will be provided to and from Eugene, Albany, Salem and Oregon City and will connect to Train 508 at Portland. Note: The bus will depart all stations 20 minutes earlier than the normal train departure times.
  • Passengers traveling from Eugene, Albany and Salem to Oregon City will get off the bus in Salem where shuttle service will be provided to Oregon City.
November 18 and 19: Trains 505 and 506
  • Train 505, operating between Portland and Eugene, which normally departs Portland at 9:35 AM, will depart at 6:00 AM and operate 3 hours and 35 minutes earlier at all stops on the route..
  • Train 506, which operates between Eugene and Seattle, will operate between Portland and Seattle only. Bus service will be provided to and from Eugene, Albany, Salem and Oregon City to connect to Train 506 at Portland.  
  • Passengers traveling from Eugene, Albany and Salem to Oregon City will get off the bus in Salem where shuttle service will be provided to Oregon City.
November 18 through November 21: Trains 507 and 508
  • Train 507, will operate between Portland and Eugene 30 minutes later at all stops.
  • Train 508, will operate between Eugene and Seattle 30 minutes later at all stops.
