San Joaquin Trains 703 and 718: Track Work Affects Service between Stockton and Merced
Effective January 25, 26 and 27, 2015
Track work being performed by BNSF Railway, will affect San Joaquin service on January 25, 26 and 27, as described below:
Northbound Train 703
Train 703, which normally operates between Bakersfield and Sacramento, will operate from Bakersfield to Merced, where passengers will detrain and board a bus to Modesto and Stockton. At Stockton, passengers will transfer to a different train, which will operate according to Train 703's normal route to Sacramento. Please note that the train will depart Stockton approximately 45 minutes later than the published schedule for Train 703.
Southbound Train 718
Train 718, which normally operates between Oakland and Bakersfield, will operate from Oakland to Stockton, where passengers detrain and board a bus to Modesto and Merced. At Merced, passengers will transfer to a different train, which will operate according to Train 718s normal route to Bakersfield. Please note that the train will depart Merced approximately 30 minutes later than the published schedule for train 718.
Denair (Turlock) Service Temporarily Cancelled
Service to Denair (Turlock) will be cancelled on January 25, 26 and 27. Passengers may make reservations aboard other San Joaquin trains serving Denair (Turlock).
San Joaquin Service: Possible Delays
All San Joaquin trains may encounter delays of up to 15 minutes on January 25, 26 and 27.
