Metra train halted in Harvard after conductor reports unattended bag
HARVARD – Police have stopped a Union Pacific Northwest Line train after an unattended bag was discovered on the train Wednesday morning, Metra officials said.
Train 640 was scheduled to depart from the station at 9:35 a.m., but passengers were evacuated after the conductor reported the bag, Metra spokeswoman Meg Reile said. Officials moved the train away from the station and requested assistance to inspect the bag before removing it, she said.
