Just a few things to remember about our host transit agency next week, the San Francisco Municipal Railway:
Muni is short for the word "Municipal" in the above name. It not an acronym. Therefore it is proper to spell "Muni" with lower case letters, not all capitals.
All Muni bus, trolleybus, streetcar, and Metro (light rail) routes, but not the cable cars are properly referred to by both their designation and their name. Bus routes have numbers, and rail lines have letters. It's not the N, but the N-Judah.
Don't forget that the best fare instrument for Wednesday, July 18th will be an $11 DayPass. It is good on all Muni vehicles, including the streetcars. We have pretty much agreed that the easiest way to purchase it will be the night before at SFO International Airport during our scheduled visit there during our BART travels.
