An idea for an elevated train platform at Randolph-Macon College that is being reviewed as part of a larger high-speed rail study was designed to comply with federal and Amtrak guidelines, according to the state Department of Rail and Public Transportation.
Story here. Contrary to what the first sentence above says, they are not going to "elevate" the line through Ashland, but rather build a high level platform that conforms to ADA standards.
