SERVICE ALERT

VIRGINIA RAILWAY EXPRESS (VRE)

"S" Schedule for Friday, September 3

Due to severe weather with significant rainfall along the Northeast Corridor, all Amtrak service between DC and Boston has been suspended. This has caused significantly greater congestion in the Washington Union Station terminal than usual.

Because of this, VRE will modify service and operate an "S" Schedule on Friday, September 3. Only the trains marked with an "S" will operate. VRE will resume its regular schedule on Tuesday, September 7.
